This month is Plastic Free July and we've been working hard to ensure our packaging is now plastic-free.
We've all experienced the frustration of parcels in the post with excessive plastic used, and we aim to never be guilty of that. We have developed a range of packaging using durable plastic-free solutions.
Post bags are made from 100% recycled paper and are reusable and recyclable.
Hang tags have been printed on 100% recycled cotton made from t-shirt offcuts, utilising waste from the fashion industry.
Some items will be packaged in an organic cotton drawstring bag; the organic cotton is farmed without pesticides, which is better for the farmers and their communities and also better for the environment. And the Dinki Human branded bag is suitable for use over and over again.
Every year more than 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans, and 50% of that plastic waste is disposable "single-use" plastic. By learning to #choosetorefuse some of the main culprits to this problem, for example plastic straws, disposable coffee cups, and take-away containers we can start to make a change and in turn, avoid more landfill waste, reduce our eco-footprint and protect our oceans.
