We are thrilled to be working in partnership with TRAID in the Dinki Human 'Community' Collection. 10% of proceeds from every style in the 'Earth Leopard' print will be donated to this fantastic charity.
"TRAID is a charity working to stop clothes from being thrown away. We turn clothes waste into funds and resources to reduce the environmental and social impacts of our clothes."
All Dinki Human clothing is designed and manufactured in a way that is mindful of the impact it has on our planet. We actively encourage our customers to pass down clothing when it's finished with, or to donate to charity. That's why we decided to collaborate with TRAID for this collection. TRAID offers free-collection services to Londoners (and some surrounding areas) and has lots of drop-off points around the UK, they process over 11000 garments a week to reuse and resell. That equates to over 3000 tonnes of clothes being saved from incineration and ending up in landfill. A fantastic contribution to a massive problem, a problem that unfortunately is growing as fashion and textiles consumption increases at an alarming rate.
TRAID has a "circular and sustainable approach to the problems of clothes waste" and works to reduce clothing disposal and unsustainable consumption habits by;
- Increasing clothes reuse across the UK reducing waste, carbon emissions and consumption.
- Funding international development projects to improve conditions and working practices in the textile industry.
- Educating people of all ages about the impacts of textiles on the environment and people’s lives, and how we can make more sustainable choices.
This work is striving to: –
- Reduce consumption
- Reduce the overuse of increasingly scarce natural resources
- Reduce waste and carbon emissions
- Extend the life cycle of wearable clothes
- Source clothes in more socially beneficial ways
- Support and champion the creation of a safe, fair and more sustainable clothing industry

It is clear that as a society we need to address our over-consumption of fashion and textiles and the increasingly short life-sysles of the garments we buy. Every year an estimated 300000 tonnes of used clothing goes in to landfill in the UK, and 95% of discarded clothing can be recycled or upcycled.
We know our customer cares about the environmental impact of their purchases, our ethos is central to everything we do at Dinki Human, our ethics are our DNA. You can be sure when you buy a Dinki Human product you are buying something that has been ethically manufactured with love for our planet, each and every individual involved in making our products and of course love for our customers.
We developed our Pre-Loved Initiative to support these principles. We want your Dinki Human products to last as long as possible, and we want to avoid anything we produce ending up in landfill or being incinerated. We encourage you to pass your Dinki items on to others when you’re finished with them and there are many ways you can help extend the life-cycle of your Dinki Human product (here are our suggestions). Our pre-loved initiative allows you to return an item to Dinki Human HQ and in exchange we will give you 20% off your next purchase.
