Dinki Human Blog

We are whole-heartedly committed to designing and manufacturing our range of organic kids clothes with integrity and respect for all people and the planet. Our core values underpin everything we do and we pride ourselves on being sustainable, natural and fair. We are thrilled to be working with Ecologi to ensure we offset our carbon emissions. On behalf of Dinki Human, Ecologi will plant trees and invest in CO2 reduction projects that remove more greenhouse gases than our carbon footprints put in, allowing us to become a Climate Positive workforce.

I love chatting to fellow small-biz owners about what gets them going and what grinds their gears about being your own boss. I have created a series of Q&As with some of my fave small brand owners in the hope we can share some behind the scenes insight into our lives as women in business.

I met the fabulous Anthea at a pop-up shop last year, her online boutique Kanstinator and Bear (named after pet names for her two sons - cuuuute) is a beautiful and so on-trend curation of kids and babies clothing.

I met the lovely Sham of Sondr at a PR Dispatch event in London - I LOVE her imagery on Instagram, and the look and feel of her beautiful jewellery brand.

Having shown a growing interest in role-play, giving little voices to her toys and acting out scenarios inspired by day-to-day life I decided a dolls house would be a good idea for this birthday.

The cost of the project was minimal in comparison to buying a ready-made item, our money went on the Maileg toys and I'm pleased as I see them as collectables that will be treasured for years to come. I also like that this is the kind of gift that can grow with my children, they can re-decorate, move things around, add and take away as their interests change and evolve.

There are so many great small, independent brands offering beautifully crafted festive gifts this year. It's never been easier to shop small at Christmas!

I met the lovely Chantelle of The Wild and The Tame at a pop-up market in London - her range of stunning nature-inspired baby blankets, comforters, bedding and bibs are all beautifully hand made in her home studio in Kent.

I met the lovely ladies of Sleep Thief at a pop-up market in London - their range of organic sleepsuits are ethically made in the UK and designed to last, just like Dinki Human. Hooray!

This is the second in a series of blogs covering sustainable fashion, and responsible manufacture. Dinki Human is mindful of it's impact on our planet, we are an organic kids clothes brand with heart. Following on from my previous post, I want to revisit the Sustainable Development Goals.

Loving by Nature in Dorchester is a cloth nappy and baby goods shop and Dinki Human stockist. Charlotte offers advice and demonstrations on cloth nappies and aims to make washable nappies mainstream again. She runs the shop with her young daughter in tow - super mama!
The Dinkiville print represents the local community. Many of the visual references will be familiar to most children but many may not be as familiar with wind turbine, tower blocks or caravans in their everyday surroundings. The print shows the idea we all live slightly differently but we’re all part of something bigger.
Organic Kids Clothes made with love. Baby Leggings with a message! Here’s our take on a leopard print for the eco-conscious ‘Alpha’ generation! We’re over the moon to have partnered up with TRAID, a charity working to tackle the negative environmental and social impacts of making, consuming and disposing of clothes.

This print is the hero of the ‘Community Collection’ - a collection that celebrates unity and togetherness. The print demonstrates the power of the individual and the strength of a crowd. We believe every child has a very significant place in the world and they deserve to be heard.

The design represents the power of a collective, their voice and their impact.
